Alfalfa

La alfalfa es la planta forrajera por excelencia.

Pertenece a la familia de las leguminosas y requiere de temperaturas altas y clima seco. siendo España uno de los mejores lugares del mundo para su producción. En concreto, la ribera del Ebro, donde se localizan nuestros campos.

Se utiliza fundamentalmente por sus excelentes propiedades nutritivas, de las cuales podríamos destacar:

Alto contenido en proteínas. La alfalfa aporta una gran cantidad de proteína vegetal, aspecto que influirá en la salud animal y humana.
Elevado contenido de Macrominerales, microminerales y vitaminas de forma natural a la ración del ganado.
Además es una fuente importante de fibra efectiva, muy necesaria para animales rumiantes y herbívoros, estimulando su rumia, y por tanto la digestión.

Se recomienda para el ganado destinado a la producción de leche: Cabaña bovina, ovina y caprina.
